DEAR News Of The Area,
I WAS so annoyed by the ridiculous letter written by one who thinks the poor little creatures who live along our coastline will suffer from the creation of an ocean pool!
After all, we only have hundreds of miles of coastline containing millions of all sorts of these creatures who live in such a healthy environment – ah poor things!
I bet you have never swum in the magnificent Merewether Ocean Pool (Newcastle) or your eyes would be properly opened to the wonderful experience of swimming there!
So clear, always cleaned, perfectly smooth base and no bites – so much better and safer than fighting all those wild “beautiful sea creatures” you fear.
Yep – give me the safe, clean saltwater pool any day!
And surely the council will find a good solution to any parking problem it will create.
I can’t wait until this pool happens as the old olympic pool needs replacing ASAP.
