Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce named finalist in the 2026 NSW Mid North Coast Business Awards

THE Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce has recently been named a finalist in the Outstanding Chamber category of the 2026 Business NSW Mid North Coast Business Awards.

Chamber President Luke Hadfield stated that being named a finalist was a positive surprise and something that the entire community should be proud of.

This marks the first time that the Chamber has put forward an application for the Awards.

Within the Outstanding Chambers category, there are several other finalist Chambers from communities that span from Woolgoolga to Taree. Mr Hadfield said this recognition was genuinely humbling, given the calibre of these Chambers.

The Chamber’s submission drew attention to the work they had completed across the region over the past year, including the work of Chamber Secretary Rachael Thorpe.

Ms Thorpe contributes to the Chamber and community by working towards making the Camden Haven region one of the most accessible destinations on the New South Wales coast.

“While there is an obvious and important social impact in improving accessibility and inclusion, Rachael, through her own lived experience with disability, has also recognised the significant economic opportunity it presents for our region,” Mr Hadfield said.

The Chamber’s submission also included their advocacy for the Draft Laurieton Town Centre Master Plan. The Chamber worked with businesses and the wider community to encourage participation, collect feedback and support opportunities that benefit the future of Laurieton’s town centre.

“We have a group of people who genuinely care about the Camden Haven and are willing to roll up their sleeves and contribute. I am incredibly grateful for what each of them brings to the table,” Mr Hadfield said.

The announcement of the winners of the 2026 Business NSW Mid North Coast Business Awards will be made at the regional awards ceremony in Coffs Harbour this month.
