THE Camden Haven region’s spectacular coastline will be on show during a round of the 2026 World Ocean Series at Bonny Hills over three days, starting this Friday, 30 October.
Billed as a three-day celebration of surf sport, community, and coastal culture, the series will feature the Port Macquarie 7000 seniors event and the Race One World Youth Championships, an event for Nippers.
The series round is expected to attract around 1000 athletes from across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
Port Macquarie 7000 kicks off on Friday, with two days of ocean racing, featuring board, ski, and swim legs, and Ironman events.
On Sunday, the spotlight turns to the next generation with the Race One World Youth Championships.
Wauchope-Bonny Hills Surf Life Saving Club will be the hub of the action, serving food and refreshments from its restaurant and café, and host live entertainment.
Beyond the racing, the Port Macquarie and Camden Haven areas offer pristine beaches, scenic coastal walks, wildlife experiences, and a welcoming rural atmosphere — making them the perfect destinations for families, friends, and surf fans to also enjoy.
Organisers expect the event to attract as many as 4000 visitors and generate approximately $3.23 million in direct annual economic impact for the region.
Racing will be broadcast online to audiences around the world.
