Rugby season gets underway

THE Mid North Coast Rugby Union Northern Division season kicked off last weekend.

Port Macquarie Pirates started their premiership defence with a 19-17 win against the Hastings Valley Vikings.

In second grade, the Pirates were 45-27 winners over the Vikings.
Coffs Harbour Snappers got their season off to a dominant start, having a 45-7 win against the Kempsey Cannonballs in Kempsey.

The Snappers reserves started their premiership defence with a 24-12 win against the Kempsey Cannonballs in Kempsey.

Coffs Harbour Snappers women started their premiership defence in dominant style with a 50-0 demolition of the Kempsey Cannonballs.

The Mid North Coast Rugby Union Northern Division season has a bye this Anzac Day weekend.
