LOCAL author Blair Montague-Drake, 83, has made his popular title “A Biblical Herbal” available at Collins Booksellers Port Macquarie, just in time for the Christmas season.
The book explores the plants and herbs mentioned throughout biblical history.
It outlines their traditional uses, known benefits, and the ways they have been used for cooking, healing and daily life.
The book has become a favourite for people who enjoy gardening, natural remedies and home cooking.
Blair says many of the herbs featured can be used in Christmas dishes, teas and festive preparations.
“People love learning how these herbs were used in the past.
“Many of them are still part of our everyday cooking.
“They are perfect for Christmas roasts, fresh teas and seasonal baking.”
The hardcover design and warm imagery make it a useful reference book and a thoughtful Christmas gift.
Blair says he is delighted to see the book become part of local Christmas traditions.

Blair’s second title, “A Blue Flag can be a Red Flag”, highlights a person’s blue mood through photography and storytelling, and is also available from Collins Booksellers.
The author is donating a percentage of sales from his second book to a local youth charity.
