WHAT started as a simple conversation about end-of-life planning has grown into something much bigger – the Ageing Well Expo in Laurieton.
This free community event brings together Mid North Coast organisations, services, and support groups who are passionate about helping people live well and plan confidently for the future.
No longer just about planning for later in life, the expo has become a space where people can come together, have a chat, learn something new, and realise just how much support is available.
It gives people the chance to plan ahead with a bit more confidence, find helpful information, and discover ways to stay connected and supported at every stage of life.
For organiser Michelle Freeman from Simplicity Funerals, the event is all about opening up conversations that we often put off but really shouldn’t.
“I do this because I’ve seen how hard it can be for families when they’re trying to figure things out on their own,” she said.
“If we can make it a little easier and connect people with the right support before they need it, then it’s worth it.”
Now in its fourth year, the Ageing Well Expo returns to the Laurieton United Services Club on Thursday 18 June 2026.
