THE Camden Haven Surf Life Saving Club is getting ready for another busy summer on the beach, with the 2026/27 patrol season officially opening this weekend.
This coming Saturday, Camden Haven SLSC will host the Mid North Coast Branch Raising of the Flags, marking the official opening of the new patrol season.
The occasion brings together surf lifesaving clubs from across the region to recognise the start of another season of keeping our beaches safe.
The Raising of the Flags is an important reminder of the vital role our local surf lifesavers play in the Camden Haven community.
Throughout the season, volunteer patrol members will be on the beach watching over swimmers, providing assistance when needed and helping ensure locals and visitors can enjoy our coastline safely.
The club is also preparing for the return of its popular Nippers program, with Nippers commencing on Sunday, 11 October.
Nippers is a fantastic way for local children to learn important beach and water safety skills, build confidence in the surf and make new friends, while being part of the Camden Haven Surf Life Saving Club community.
With summer fast approaching, the club is encouraging families to get involved and make the most of everything surf lifesaving has to offer.
Whether it is through volunteering, becoming a patrolling member, supporting the club or getting the kids involved in Nippers, there are plenty of ways for the community to be part of the club.
