MEMBERS of the Mid North Coast Police District have been recognised for their dedication and years of service at the NSW Police Force Awards 2026.
The awards acknowledged officers and staff for their commitment to protecting the community, with long service medals, commendations and certificates presented across a range of categories.
State Member for Port Macquarie Robert Dwyer MP said the awards reflected the professionalism and commitment shown by police across the district.
“The awards are more than a celebration of individual achievement; they reflect a policing family built on dedication, professionalism and quiet courage,” Mr Dwyer said.
He said sworn and unsworn members worked together every day to help keep local communities safe.
“Whether responding to emergencies, supporting victims of crime or confronting dangerous offenders, they show compassion, resilience and strength in equal measure,” he said.
Mr Dwyer also acknowledged the challenges faced by police officers throughout their careers.
“Officers are called into people’s darkest moments.
“They attend traumatic incidents, deliver devastating news and work tirelessly, sometimes over many years, to achieve justice.
“They witness both the best and the worst of humanity, and yet they continue to serve with integrity.”
Mr Dwyer recognised the leadership of Mid North Coast Police District Commander Superintendent Shane Cribb and senior officers for guiding and supporting their teams.
He also thanked the families of police officers, saying their support helped officers remain resilient throughout demanding careers.
Among those recognised were former Sergeant Crystal Manusu, who received the National Police Service Medal, Constable Patrick Leary, who received the National Medal for 15 years of service, and Sergeant Elisha Campbell, Sergeant Matthew Horsington and Senior Constable Noelene Little, who each received the National Medal First Clasp for 25 years of service.
Constable John Casey received the National Medal Second Clasp and the NSW Police Medal Fifth Clasp for 35 years of service.
Mr Dwyer said every recipient represented “the very best of policing in our region” and thanked all officers and staff for their “dedication, professionalism and unwavering commitment to our community”.
