Free flu vaccinations and Hep C testing at Port Macquarie homelessness pop-up

PORT Macquarie-Hastings Homelessness Services is partnering with Mid North Coast Health to deliver free flu vaccinations and Hepatitis C testing.

The pop-up health support event on Thursday 9 April is being held at 140 Horton Street, Port Macquarie.

It is designed to support some of the region’s most vulnerable residents.

Organisers say the service is open to everyone, with no cost and no appointment required.

“Come along, have a chat with the health team, and take care of your health,” they shared.

“Please spread the word.”

The pop-up aims to make essential healthcare more accessible for people experiencing homelessness or hardship, who may otherwise face barriers to regular medical support.

Community members are encouraged to attend, speak with health professionals and take proactive steps to protect their health.

The inclusion of both flu vaccinations and Hepatitis C testing reflects a broader focus on preventative care and early intervention.

Events like this play an important role in community healthcare while also providing a safe and welcoming environment for support.
